I was folding laundry the other day when this idea came to me, and I have to admit, I’m pretty excited about it. Sometimes I put notes in my kids’ lunches, you know those fun joke cards flying around pinterest, just a simple “i love you”, encouragement, and occasionally a “challenge”. Like: find someone who looks sad and cheer them up. Just something to get them thinking not about themselves! As I was thinking about how to teach my kids service and gratitude, especially at this time of year when they are prone to be thinking only about what may or may not end up under that big tree, I thought about a daily lunch box challenge!… Read the rest

Harvest Festival Invitation
This post may include affiliate links at no extra cost to you.
I was asked to make the invitation for our church harvest festival so I’m making that available for you today :).
You can either do it yourself by downloading the blank template, opening the JPEG in an editing program (such as picmonkey, picasa, canva, photoshop etc) and adding text. OR, I can personalize it for you. I charge $7 payable via paypal and you will receive a digital JPEG file in return that you can then have printed. If you would like to do that, just email the details you would like on your invitation to partylikeacherry@gmail.com… Read the rest
Feelin’ Hot Hot Hot Summer Party!
* Products were provided by Oriental Trading, all opinions are my own*
Summer Slump [suhm-er sluhmp]: noun. When the novelty of not having to get up and make school lunches every morning wears off, and the reality of spending every waking moment with your children sets in.
Anyone else there? No? Just me? Don’t get me wrong, I am LOVING my kids not waking up until 9 (ok not the newborn), not having breakfast until 10 and not being dressed until noon (shhh don’t tell my hubby who leaves for work at 5:45). But by 2-3pm every day i’m ready for some *space* from these always-angelic (err… or something..)… Read the rest
Father’s Day Mad Libs
As I write this my newborn is screaming on my lap. Don’t worry, he’s fed, changed, burped and all that good stuff. He just likes to scream :0. In any case I’ll make this brief as my brain is a bit scrambled.
There are so many cute Father’s Day questionnaires and fill in the blanks out there! I wanted to make one a little different than what I’ve seen, more of a mad libs style story about their Dad. They might not know about their Dad as a baby, so this can be a good opportunity to call Grandma on the phone and hear some stories!… Read the rest
Free Printable Teacher Valentine Gift Tags
*this post contains affiliate links, see disclosure here*
I found these adorable water bottles at walmart and instantly knew I wanted to create a free printable to go along with them! I actually made two versions, one for valentines day (as that is quickly approaching) and one generic appreciation tag that can be used any time of the year! (like the first or last day of school or during teacher appreciation week).
I’m a fan of useful gifts for teachers, like gift cards and hey- water bottles! I’ve been volunteering in the classroom before when a teacher was opening all the christmas gifts the children had brought and I was blown away at some of the choices!… Read the rest
