Scripture Hero Clue Cards- Alma

I was able to finish the clue cards for April today. It will be fun to highlight Alma next month!

As part of the theme “I know the scripture are true” the Friend magazine is highlighting a scripture hero each month. We put a clue in our primary mailbox each week and on the last week of the month that hero come to visit us in our time machine.

Scripture Hero Clue Cards-Abinadi

The kids loved having Nephi come visit in January (I think… my kids were talking about it all day!) For Nephi’s visit he came with a big sac full of all kinds of fun items. He called on a child and they could come pick something from his sack and he would ask them what they knew about the item and then fill in any missing information and details. We had things like: the liahona, the brass plates, labans sword, a hammer (for building the boat), a picture of the tree of life, and a bow & arrow. We haven’t had our big reveal of Nephi yet (we will be doing that next sunday), but I had a chance today to make the scripture hero clues for February. I also had some requests for a blank version so you can make up your own clues. February is Enos so I think the clues will be a bit tougher for the children to guess.

I Know the Scriptures are True Superhero Banner

Well, i’m awarding myself bonus points for getting the bulletin board finalized before February. It seems with each passing year I fall further and further behind! Is it just me? I should have it all down by now and be further ON TOP of things… right? In any case, after much inspiration from the Friend, the primary presidency facebook page, and my counselors, we settled for the superhero theme. And each month we will introduce our “scripture hero” (to see how we are introducing our scripture heroes check out this post). So here’s the finished board:
