Spring has officially sprung, and that means it’s time for one of our favorite traditions—the Easter Egg Hunt! Whether you’re planning a neighborhood bash, a church activity, or just a family get-together in your backyard, I’ve got a little something to help things run smoothly—and it’s cute too 😉. Today I’m sharing a free printable Easter Egg Hunt Check-In Sign that will add a fun and organized touch to your event!
Why Have a Check-In Table?
You might be thinking, “Do I really need a check-in table for an Easter egg hunt?” And hey, if it’s just your kiddos running wild in the backyard, maybe not. But if you’re hosting a larger group—especially one with multiple age groups, hidden prizes, or any sort of start time—it can be a lifesaver.
A check-in table helps you:
- Get a head count of how many kid will be hunting
- Divide kids into age groups or color-coded hunts- if applicable
- Hand out baskets, name tags, wristbands (if you’re dividing up by age group that can be helpful)
- Go over rules (yes, even Easter fun sometimes needs a few rules 😅)
I helped organize the annual Easter Egg Hunt for our church this past weekend and we had 800 eggs prepared and hidden. What I didn’t know is how many kids would be hunting. So we put out this Easter Egg Hunt check in and asked everyone to check in as they arrived (if they planned on hunting). This way I was able to determine how many eggs each kiddo could find. I also could get a sense of the ages as we started them in waves with the youngest kids going first.
Bonus Ideas for Your Check-In Table
- Color-coded wristbands for different age groups
- Printed rules or schedule for when each age group will be hunting
- Easter stickers or bunny stamps for a quick welcome treat
