What is Quarry Park Adventures?

What is Quarry Park? Quarry Park Adventures is Northern California’s favorite outdoor adventure park built within and atop a former rock quarry — a truly unique and unforgettable outdoor adventure destination. Located in Rocklin, California, the adventure park offers a variety of different adventure activities including rock climbing, zip lining, free-fall jumps, an incredible kids play area and much more. Quarry Park Adventures offers more aerial adventure attractions in one easily-accessed location
than any other adventure park in the nation. Think of it as a place to test your limits, build your confidence, and have an absolutely unforgettable experience. You can check out some of our adventures in video form here. And if you want to read more of the basics about what Quarry Park is and what it has to offer head over to this post.

There are easy, medium and hard aerial obstacle courses in the park

What’s New at Quarry Park?

Quarry Park has some very big news. After four years of working towards it Quarry Park just approved a new weight minimum requirement for their ziplines of 45 lbs (previously 70 lbs)! It’s been a long haul but they did it! This opens up so much more of the park to younger adventurers. Some of the easiest Aerial Obstacle Courses end in a zip line so now those courses are accessible to everyone 45 lbs and over. I’m excited to take my 6 year old back so he can try out the easier courses that he couldn’t access before.

Quarry Park has one big zipline that goes over the whole quarry, and several smaller ziplines that are part of the Aerial Obstacles, now all are accessible to
everyone over 45 lbs!

Quarry Park has also installed some additional shade structures over the rock climbing walls. This will bring welcome relief to climbers, especially in the summer months and the middle parts of the day. The quarry can get very hot with all of the heat radiating off of the granite. I’m so excited about the new shade!

The new shade over the rock climbing wall! We were there in the late afternoon/early evening so the wall wasn’t as shaded as it would be in the middle of the day.

How Do I Get Tickets?

It’s best to get tickets in advance on their website. Through November 19, 2023 you can use the code FALL15ALIA for 15% off at booking. If you’re unsure what type of ticket is best for your or your family here are some factors to consider when choosing your ticket:

  • You start with about a 15-30 minute safety orientation where they teach you how to work your gear so you can traverse the courses on your own. So if you book a 4 hour pass that leaves you with about 3 1/2 hours to explore.
  • You may have to wait in line at different points while you wait for people in front of you to complete obstacles.
  • It is usually 10 degrees hotter down in the quarry. So if it’s a hot summer day you may have had enough after 2 hours.
  • They also have tickets that give you access to just the Kids Kove or particular aspects of the park. Kids Kove tickets are great for kids under 8, in my opinion.

All in all what type of ticket you choose really depends on a lot of factors like weather, the age and personality of participants, how far you drove to get there, etc. If you have any questions shoot me a DM on instagram @partylikeacherry and I’ll try to help you decide what’s best for your group!

Enjoy the park after hours with the Fun & Fright Climb!

So head out to Quarry Park this fall to enjoy the beautiful weather in an awesome adventure setting. Whether you’re going for an afternoon in the Quarry or one of their Fall events, your family will fall in love with this venue and want to come back time and again!
